Hello!

Looks like some of you are getting some great work done while I've been gone! Some of you... not so much. You should have turned in your AP agreement and paid your deposit by now. All students are required to create a portfolio, so make sure that's done or you will receive NC in this class.

I received login information from three of you, hopefully the rest of you have also registered for the AP site and written your password in a safe place. Feel free to start uploading slides and writing your concentration statement; you will not forward these on until May, and you can change or delete anything between now and then.

You have about two months to get everything finished, so I hope you have all been working hard and have at least half of your concentrations and all of breadth done by now. Your weekends are no longer your own!

This is what I've been up to:
Such a cutie! See you in April.

I HAEF MAED ART

This is a planet I did with acrylic paints.

This is a piece that I wanted to show texture. It's also brown. Ink pens.

I did this piece upside down at first to get the drips first, then I turned it right side up and saw the trees so I decided to ink it as such. Watercolor and ink pens.

I can't think of anything..

india ink

india ink and water colors

conte crayon

how about them lakers?!

this is a photo.. of me.. i set the camera on a tree stump and set a timer.
when this was edited i used a black and white filter and a few others. i also added contrast.

this photo is of (my friend) Savannah. it was taken by my dads house at GFM.

This photo i took in Japan, summer 2008.
This is basically the Japanese Effiel Tower (Tokyo Tower).

TAKE THAT, MELISSA!

i dont know where this text will appear, but im just gonna go with it. 1st piece is either zombie or a controlling figure. you decide. 2nd piece shows the contrast of war and love. 3rd piece just shows war. all done in graphite then inked with sharpies. except the 1st one. that is JUSTTTTTT graphite. for now.

Coca-Cola: I took this with studio lighting and then made it look grainy for the vintage-ish look
Filip: I took this when the model was in so there was interesting lighting on his face. i like how it turned out.
Girl Picture: This was Nicole the model we used and i loved the lighting that was on her. I darkened the background to made it look more..well more.

Arrrrgggg

Some work i did in illustrator with a picture of my guitar.

Close up of a print I made

This is a photo.

KA POW!!!

This picture I took in Hawaii and I love the contrast of blue and green.
I like this picture of the skull because of the way the color is and how only half of the skull is visable.

This is a picture of a calla lilly close up of the middle.

Nuclear Proliferation.

My concentration is views of life from a posturpedic perspective. The loneliness of mornings in contrast to the euphoria when one gets to share their bed (innocently, JAQI!) It's a work-in-progress and I need to get a large spoon to dig out the emotional subconscious, but I love it entirely.

Part of my concentration. Intended to depict loneliness, a lack of self esteem, and being lost within ones own skin. The lack of face is intentional; a faceless emotion.

Another aspect of the concentration; represents a more confident person who is more comfortable to be alone. A progressive self-worth, though still faceless.

This is part of the concentration in the contrast spectrum; heart boxers for Valentine's Day and the codependency, though still faceless. Who is to say that their connection is pure?

If you notice, they go, sequentially, from alone and scared, to alone and confident, to a relationship. This is because the foundation of my concentration is that one must love his or herself before they can love another wholly.

So how's the maternal life, Timko?

C+ to .... B- ?!

the BEHIND YOU peice and the IVE SEEN ENOUGH peice are part of my concentration that is made up of simple inked designs with words or phrases. the bottom stencil is just a set of side projects that i like making.
